The Longhorns successfully defended their CFBN Challenge Cup for the first time Saturday, defeating North Texas 56-7. New Longhorns' QB Colt McCoy led the attack, replacing CFBN Heisman Trophy winner Vince Young. However, the Longhorns will face their first real challenge to their Challenge Cup Champion status when the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes visit Austin this coming Saturday. The Buckeyes haven't held the Challenge Cup since 2003, when they lost it to Wisconsin in the season following their last national championship.
